* To była kolejna z tych płyt, które wymieniałem na CDr-ach i z kserowanymi okładkami. Na początku się przestraszyłem, że koleś mi wcisnął jakąś lipę, ale kiedy włączyłem, od razu okazało się to sztosem. Coś mi to przypominało, ale nazwa nic mi nie powiedziała. Dopiero po wielu latach dowiedziałem się, że to płyta Kokane, której nie mógł wydać pod swoją normalną ksywką z powodów umów o legalności z różnymi wytwórniami. Brzmienie albumu to jest coś, za co uwielbiam West Side - beaty robione przez Cold 187um, czyli klimat Above The Law, ciężki, zadymiony funk i gangsta na całego. Jako że AtL jest jedną z moich ulubionych grup, to i Kokane, jako kuzyn Cold 187um, również wpisuje się w klimat. Genialna produkcja i sam Kokane, którego głos jak dla mnie jest jednym z najciekawszych na Zachodzie. Debiut Kokane'a to sztos, który ustawił go na przyszłość - podobno gość nagrał ponad 2000 feauringów w karierze. Też bym go chętnie zaprosił na płytę (razem z Bun B w kawałku!) :D Killer.
* That was one of those records that I swapped on CD-rs with xerocopied covers with my man from Zamość. At first I got scared, that he gave me a bullshit cd, but as soon as I played, it showed to be so dope. It reminded me of something, but I couldn't figure it out what was that - the name didn't ring a bell. After many years I got to know, that this is an album by Kokane, who couldn't release it under his usual moniker due to legal agreements with labels. The sound of it is a West Coast essence for me. Beats made by Cold 187um, so similar to Above The Law: ruff, smoked out funk and gangsta shit all the way. As ATL is one of my favorite groups, so Konake, cousin of Cold 187um, is also on the list. Genious production and Kokane, who's voice seems to be one of the most interesting ones in the West. His debut is dope and it showed him his way - they say he recorded over 2000 featurings in his career! I'd invite him as well - with Bun B on the track. Killer!
