* Nawet nie pamiętam, skąd go znam - wpadła mi wiele lat temu jego pierwsza płyta, polecona przez kumpla - okazała się niezła, więc kiedy pojawiła się druga, zaraz ją sobie zgrałem z internetu - dostać na początku XXI wieku holenderską płytę w Polsce to był wyczyn. To więc drugi album tego rappera z Rotterdamu, który zdobył fejm dzięki występom na jednej scenie z tuzami amerykańskiej sceny. E-Life rymuje po angielsku, dzięki czemu jego kawałki są dostępne dla wszystkich. I dobrze! Bo na tej płycie wszystko się zgadza. Podkłady są świetne, aranżacje i refreny zostają w głowie i każdy trak buja. Sam E-Life ma bardzo dobry styl i teksty. On potrafi poruszyć i przyciąga do głośników, zwłaszcza, kiedy wraz z nim występują holenderscy rapperzy z Postmen, czy Michael Franti ze Spearhead. I taki jest ten album - z jednej strony prawdziwy, ciężki rap, z drugiej zmiękczony jest soulem, ciepłem i emocjami. Brzmi to naprawdę dobrze, to jedna z najlepszych holenderskich płyt, jakie słyszałem. Klasyk.
* I don't even remember how I got to know him - I came across his debut amny years ago, it was recommended by my homie - it turned out to be quite nice, so when I found out that there's a second album, I downloaded it from the net - get a Dutch album here in Poland in the beginning of XXI century was a miracle. So this is the second album from this Rotterdam own, who got some fame due to performances at the same stage with American stars. E-Life rhymes in English, so his tracks are understandable for all. And that's good! Because there's everything fine on this album. Beats are great, arranges and hooks stay in the head and every track rocks. E-Life has a good style and lyrics. He can move and attract the listener, especially, when he is featured by other Dutch rappers, like Postmen, or Americans, as Michael Franti from Spearhead. And this is how this story goes - it is ruff and real, but on the other hand it is softened with soul, warmth and emotions. It sounds really well, it is one of the best Dutch records I have ever listened to. Classic.
