* Ten album jest błogosławieństwem, ale i przekleństwem duetu. 'Parents just don't understand' postawił Willa i Jeffa na straconej pozycji w środowisku - nikt nie brał ich na poważnie. Bo gadają teksty pod publiczkę, dla dzieci i w ogóle lipa. Ale! To że Will nie gadał nic o afrocentrycznych klimatach i polityce, nie znaczy, że jest słaby! Fresh Prince ma taki storytelling, że niewielu może mu się równać, moduluje flow i jest typem prawdziwego MC - ma zadanie aby zabawiać tłum i tak się dzieje. A Jeff nie dość, że daje ciepłe beaty, to jeszcze mnóstwo jest tu jego popisów na kołach - brzmi to fantastycznie! Płyta jest świeża i bawi po dziś. Do tego znajduje się tu jeden z pierwszych kawałków horrorcore! Jak dla mnie, naprawdę szacunek i za tę płytę i w ogóle dla duetu.
* This album is a blessing but also a curse for the duo. 'Parents just don't understand' made Will and Jeff on the lost position in hip hop enviroment - no one took them seriously after that. Because their lyrics and music was taintred, for the kids and that was wack. But! Will didn't speak afrocentric nor political things, but that doesn't mean he's wack! Fresh Prince has got unbelievable storytelling, not many can compare, he modulates his flow and he is a type of real MC - his option is to move the crowd and that's what he does. And Jeff creates hot beats and he makes a lot of nice things on the wheels of steel - it sounds fantastic! The record is fresh and I enjoy it still today. And, as an addition, there is one of the first horror tracks ever! As for me, much respect for this album and for the duo in general.
