* Był kiedyś taki sklepik z kasetami i płytami w Warszawie na Złotej. Mieli tam spory wybór taśm z USA, które były na dystrybucji Ichiban Records - po prostu ktoś zwoził te kasety i puszczał u nas. Tam właśnie poznałem te legendy sceny Detroit - bodaj pierwszą grupę z tego miasta, która wyszła u majorsa. To jest ich drugi album, najbardziej popularny. Styl DMW to dość brutalny raport z ulicy - zwłaszcza, jeśli chodzi o teksty, gdzie Motsi Ski nie przebiera w słowach. A muzyka, również wyprodukowana przez zespół, to proste perkusje ze funkowymi samplami, podbitymi mocnym basem. Razem robi to naprawdę fajny krążek, ostry, agresywny, ale konkretny.
* There used to be a small shop with tapes and cds at Złota Street in Warsaw. Thay had a big range of american tapes distributed by Ichiban Records - someone was just bringing the tapes here and selling here. I got to know those Detroit rap legends there - the first rap group from the Motor City that was released by the major. This is their second album, the most popular one. DMW style is a quite brutal streets raport - especially when it comes to the lyrics - Motsi Ski brings his raw stories to the table bare and uncut. And music, produced by the crew, is based on simple percussions with funk samples and deep bass. Together it makes a good combination, aggressive, ruff, but concrete.
