* Uwielbiam pierwszą płytę Jay'a. Sztos. Ale następne zaczęły zawierać całą masę komercyjnej papki, która rozmieniała talent Jay'a na drobne, za to napychała mu kabzę. Czwartą płytę można uznać w pewnym sensie za powrót na ulicę, co wcale nie przeszkadzało zdobyć jej potrójnej platyny. Plastiki od Swizz Beatz i Timby, klasyka od Rockwildera i Premiera, bangiery od DJ Clue i Irv Gotti - każdy znajdzie tu coś dla siebie. I to wszystko jest całkiem fajne - na pewno dużo lepsze od Vol. 1 i 2... W dodatku goście brzmią naprawdę dobrze, czy to ekipa Roc-A-Fella (Amil, Benie Sigel, Memph Bleek), czy Juvi, Mariah Carey, Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott, czy UGK w kultowym już 'Big Pimpin'. Jay jest nowatorski, jest świeży - ma wszystkie atuty w ręku. Powrót króla NY? Może nie aż tak, ale to jedna z lepszych płyt Jay'a.
* I love the first Jay's album, dope. But the next ones started to include a whole lot of pop mash, which watered Jay's talent down, but it was making his pockets go fatter. His fourth effort we can deem as a street come back somehow, but it didn't bother to make a triple platinum. Plastic hits from Swizz Beatz and Timba, classic from Rockwilder and Premier, bangers from DJ Clue and Irv Gotti - everyone can findsoething interesting here. And it is really nice - much better than vol. 1 and 2... Additionally, the guests sound real tight, doesn't matter if it's Roc-A-Fella squad (Amil, Benie Sigel, Memph Bleek), or Juvi, Mariah Carey, Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott or UGK in that cult track 'Big Pimpin'. Jay is fresh and innovative - he has all the aces in his hand. Return of NY king? Maybe not as much like that, but this is one of his best records.
